Once more, it is spring.
And so it shall remain, while I love you.
In my suitcase — a new encounter,
layered nights, new sketches,
and a new wick for the lantern.
And so it shall remain. And that is why,
kissing you goodbye with tenderness,
I restore the spring.
And once again I fly to you
with a suitcase filled with sketches and wine,
with the light of a lucid morning…
I dissolve the minutes,
stirring eternity with a spoon
in an airport coffee cup.
From afar, upon your lips,
I read the coming of spring.
I cross the line of the horizon —
and once again it will be spring,
for as long as I love you.
