You light the candle.
In the Town, the streets are narrow.
There’s celebration—and perhaps, rain.

Here, fulfilling a dream,
my golden-haired Guardian
draws his knife
and slices through the knot—

of fears, of doubts,
of worries and other chimeras.
He smiles at me.
He resembles you.
